Check this out:1) Fungus. COME ON! All we need now is Smurfs living in those patches as well. Hell, when fungus is cleared, we should get a 'harvest' bonus of shrooms like with forests which should artificially make 2 drones happy for 1 turn or something.
2) Gaians. First of all, look at their cities. They're friggin hydroponics towers designed to maximize herb growth. And what's with Dierdre "dancing naked through the trees"? Don't tell me that that isn't drug induced.
3) Zakharov. He's got the crazy Einstein hair and he's wearing some weird hippy-gear. Besides, who could dedicate their lives to science and thinking, without trying to "expand their horizons."
4) Last time I played, 4 of my cities went into a Golden Age in 2420.
5) If you abuse Planet too much you get mindworms. Substitute "drugs" for "Planet" and "bad trips" for "mindworms" in that sentance.
6) Don't tell me that the Cloning Vats movie isn't some kind of hallucination. That's some weird ass stuff with the chickens.
7) Morgan always seems so happy whenever you here him in a sound byte or see him in a SP movie. I bet you he's got the global Speed market cornered.
8) Drones. Don't tell me their skin goes red naturally. And what's with the nerve stapling? That's gotta be some advanced form of rehab.
9) Transcendance. The ultimate goal of the game and the "highest" form of life for humans in the game is uniting their minds in one giant consciousness. The fact that this consciousness that everyone wants to join happens to be a giant planet of shrooms seems slightly suspect.
10) Eudaimonics. One of the ultimate forms of Social Engineering. "Eudaimonia is a philosophical system that takes its name from an ancient Greek word for fulfillment and happiness. Based on economic equity made possible by Sentient Econometrics (E11) and rooted in opposition to the excesses of The Will to Power (E8), Eudaimonia encourages each citizen to achieve happiness through striving to fulfill completely his or her potential; freedom, creativity, and individuality flourish in governments that adopt this philosophy." Don't you friggin' try to tell me that Eudaimonia isn't a society in which everyone is permanently stoned!
That's what I've found. Then again, this could all just be because I've smoked too much today. Feel free to add your own.
