Wouldn't it be nice to have a realtime clock down in the corner or somwhere. Since everytime you start to play a session you're glued to the monitor for hours. Just a thougt that i had. Signing off ******

Actually, I'd like to have a programmable pop-up that will remind you of important things to do (like eating and sleeping). Can we get this in the next patch (if there is one)? |

You don't need a special feature in SMAC. You are running Windows, which is a real multitasking system. If you don't want to use Outlook, or one of the zillion shareware alarm clocks, I could stick the thing I wrote myself on an ftp site. It has the custom feature (for gamers) of trying to play a sound when the alarm time is reached, and then if the sound device is busy (like, in use by a game), it pops its window up to the front. |

Why not use the clock included in windows tray? If your keyboard has the windows button, use it, otherwise press ctrl+esc and the start menu pops up revealing the taskbar. All you have to do is turn on the clock in corner of taskbar and you have your time. |

Hey, I've got a clock on the wall right next to my computer, and I STILL forget to look at the time. 3.30am this morning (fortunately, slow day at work, else I wouldn't be here right) |

Yeah but how do you remember to look at the clock if you don't have a pop up reminder? |

The "window switching" works fine if you run SMAC and windows in the same resolution, but not if SMAC is bigger. It really messes up your desktop... |
