I know it's not a bug, and I don't have an easy solution, but it's IMPOSSIBLE to have golden age in 41+ base, even though with all the psych facilities and 20 transcends at least you get more than 100 psych per turn, enough to turn 25 citizens into talents. And that's just with psych at 0%. I love all the economic bonus I can get, and I think that my size 53 Morgan Industries deserves a golden age. Not that I'm short on energy, you understand...

I wondered about this also. I understand that Golden Age requires 50% of the citizens in a base to be Talents and for there to be no drones. However, if you have a base that is SO big that over 50% of your citizens must be "specials" (I forget the official term for citizens that do not work the fields), then there is no way to have Golden Age.This sounds incredulous to me, that a base could be so well psyched by so many trancends being supported, yet not meet Golden Age requirements. |

Specialists is the term. Yes, that's what I meant. Does anyone has an easy solution for this one?I thought maybe all specialists are content, except Transcends, who are happy by nature. But I think it's too disruptive. |

You got it. Anyway, if you have a size 53 city why are you greedy for a golden age? You've already got far more of everything than you could ever need or want Specialists are not talents, they're just average joes (or janes). Therefore if your base is size 41, 20 of your people work, the other 21 have to be specialists, and it is therefore impossible to have a golden age. |

Why can you be happy when you work on the land as a farmer, or in a borehole :-) but not when you're an urban professional working as a librarian, doctor or transcend? And I want my golden age so I can get +1 energy in every square with Morgan under a Democracy/Green/Knowledge/Cybernetic regime. |

JamieWolf is correct. for the purpose of determining a "Golden Age", specialists are considered content workers. Use some of those specialists as engineers to get the xtra energy. |
