Last night I just thought I had figured it out. Designed a hovertank with Troop transport, drop pods and cloaking field. Imangine how one could drop a can of worms behind enemy lines... unfortunately, only naval units can carry more than one troop. DRAT! And I thought myself clever....

Yep. Tried that in my first game... Right after I got the Needlejet chassis, Ithought that an Air Transport would be a quick way to get rid of a really annoying Miriam, beating on my dear Pact Sister Deirdre on the next island... So I happily prototype and build the thing and to my dismay it can only carry one unit, and it's impossible to load them outside of a city/airbase.Needless to say, I dumped the useless thing (disbanded it to quickly build the first ship of a fleet of regular transport cruiser) and went on to crush the Bible-Thumpers the old-fashioned way ! -Aredhran

Yup. I was going to use one of these to move an Alien Artifact to a city with an NN. Needless to say, I couldn't load it outside a city... Does it work with land units? A 3-movement Antigrav Struts Hovertank is a lot fater than a 0/1/1 Alien artifact... |

I think it would be cool if Drop Pod units could launch from transport planes (a bit like paratroopers), or even from transport ships.Tonight, I think I'll try and design a "Drop Colony Pod", a "Drop Terraformer" and many other bizarre utility units... Cheers, A
