Don't get me wrong, Patch 3.0 has solved quite a few problems. But with some of the supposed balancing issues (e.g the awesome power of the Cloning vats plus TeleTubbie matrix combination), I'm wondering if things aren't quite over yet. When Mike Ely's story was going, before the game was released, there was a contest on the forums, kind of along the lines of 'guess what number the last episode will be.' Given that there are similarities between waiting each week for the next episode of the story, and waiting for the next version of SMAC, I think it would be fun to do the same thing with the patch - guess what number the final patch will have. Version 9.0, anybody? (P.S: Apologies to Firaxis et al, who have worked hard on 3.0 - this is just a bit of fun... |
