I tried to install the 3.0 patch, but it says "old file not found, contents do not match" on alpha. txt. I don't know whats the problem, but if anyone can send me alpha.txt, I will appreciate it. My mail address [email protected]

Yes Firaxis need to fix this by not version checking the .txt files during patch install. Can't be that hard. Simple concept Firaxis... please?
All the original files are on the CD... snag 'em from there, that's what I do. Have fun.

I lent my cd to my friend. Can you email me the file my address is [email protected]

If you lent your CD to a friend how are you playing yourself. Didn't make a pirate copy I hope...?

Ok, something similar happened to me when I tried to install the 3.0 patch and it was because I had changed the name of the "readme.txt" file. Do not mess with the name "readme.txt" when installing the patch, and of course also with the file "terran.exe". Those are, I believe, very critical files on the patches.
