I remember those old paper based board games with the hexagonal grids. The units had limits to how many could be in one space. I get a little annoyed at having to design defenses in my bases that can withstand the attacks of triple stacks of 20 odd Demon Boils each....

Has anyone come up with a "surefire" tactic? It seems no matter what I do, eventually they wear me down. I saw a lvl30 base cut in half in one turn that way.... ick.

Oh sure, someone is saying be nicer to Planet, but thats no fun :-)

A single Fusion Conventional Missle will take out stacks of AT LEAST 13 worms.

By the time Planets churning out 10+worms/stack, you should have the neccessary tech to garison your cities with no less than two of these each, and also maintain a healthy supply of clean formers/super formers to quickly take out the resulting fungus.

Alternate defense- Empath choppers (with air superiority, for LofC's, if the situation warrants).

The key is, ALWAYS attack the worms before they attack you. You get a 3/2 advantage just for being the aggressor in psi combat, and many times I've gotten info on a square that said it had 10+ worms in it but after a single attack with a chopper they ALL die-disappear-go away.

hmmm, haven't tried the missile idea. I usually see single use units as wasteful, but I'll try that.

Presently I have been using a large reserve of clean-drop psi hovertanks and you are right, killing them all seems the only option... but that can be hard sometimes.... thanks for the ideas!
