Hi, I'm currently in doubt of how to obliterate a city that you want to give up on? What keyboard command or action should I use? Thanks

'Obliterate Base' command is, if I remember correctly, on the ACTION menu, available to an active combat unit standing inside the base square. This is considered an atrocity. A better option might be to just make colony pods until the base goes away. They will be free to support (since the supporting base is now gone). Pique |

Except that in the game I am currently playing ... it doesn't work.I have the population down to ONE ... I set the city to building a COLONY POD ... ALL the minerals needed were accomplished ... but it just kept building and building and building. After the white boxesin the build queue were done, it went and started making RED boxes turn after turn. I even tried to HURRY it in case it had gotten mixed up, but it wouldn't let me. So, I to would like to know how to get rid of that city without comitting an atrocity. Thanks. CaptComal |

Capt, your problem is that you have you game set on a difficulty level that doesnt allow you to abondon a base by making lots of colony pods. This is only applied on games that are the 3rd level of diffuculty or higher. But right now, there is no other way to get rid of that base besides- A)Destroying it. Press the "b" key while an active military unit is in that city. B)Give the base to another faction. This is accessible through the diplomacy selections. Offer a gift, the offer a base, then select the base. Hope this helped. |
