First, I'd like to say this game is very addictive. As much as Warlords3.
Second, I've been playing for while now, and I built Voice of Planet. Its not giving me an option for Ascendence. How long should a wait? What should I do?

If I understand you correctly, I think the problem lies in how you set up the game. Did you let the computer choose the rules? It's possible that NO victory conditions, or at least not that one, are selected for the game. If I'm not mistaken, though, changing the victory conditions in mid-game will give you a nasty "If you change it you cheated" message.

Well I'll just use the running Score total in the HQ Menu plus the bonus mentioned in the manual for my best score and start fresh.
They should have the Defaults allow all Victories instead of none (or just Conquer).

The way I think it happens is that you play a tutorial, then a real game, but select use current rules, which are the tutorial rules, but don't allow any form of victory.
