Is it just me, or are planet busters REALLY fun. How many of you insane meglomaniacs out there enjoy building huge armadas of Planet Busters, then launching them all at you allies and enemies alike, ending up with a planet that bears a suspicious resemblence to swiss cheese? I espeacially like to over kill. "Oh look! Its a scout! BOOM!!!!!"

You're suffering from a slight case of over-PBing. You need medical help. - Aredhran

"Holy SH*T!!" -my reaction to a singularity planetbuster.Basically, I saved the game, disbanded some units and spent 1800 credits to quick build one, then cut Yang's continent in half. Yep, definitely a weapon I'm not going to use and I'm definitely going to place defense pods in orbit as much as possible.

Am I a snoring bradipus?I played 4 full games, Thinker the last one, surely got to future techs twice, so I must have developed the required tech, but I completely overlooked PB, didn't feel the slightest need to have them, I don't even know how do they look like. (or maybe I'm starting to deploy some fake-info technique, preparing the ground for MP) Honest MariOne |

PBs are over-hyped. A copter with nerve gas pods will erase a city just as well and you get to use it again |

Well, this is good, unless you're going for the "nice guy policy" and decide not to use these nerve-stapling-planet-busting-massive-destruction tools.Well that's the way I'm playing my current game anyway, but I might change my mind when I decide to be the leader of some (in)famous Police State... - Aredhran

hehehe! Nerve gas rocks! But seriously though, Nerve gas pods when combined with sunspots, it makes your troops perfect city killers. One shot from some Nerve gas killed off 4 population of a Gaian city. Does anyone know what the max kill-off factor of nerve gas is? Adjunct Pammenter, Attache to Chairman Yang |

As far as I know, nerve gas kills half the population every time.. (unless the city has a population of 1, in which case its TOAST!). Yes, Nerve Gas does kill about as well, but it just isn't as fun as reducing an enemy's city to a PUDDLE!Will J "Come forth, and ye shall wreak havoc and ascend the throne of Planet over a mountain of skulls, as the rivers flow with the blood of the slain" |

If you use a planet buster to tereform oceans, do factions still attack you? |

How would you get a pb to attack in the middle of an ocean? Destroy enhancements? |

Whenever I see Brocooli garrisons in Ohio, I make sure to PB them too. Other than that, I agree that for the price of one PB, you could produce several shard choppers to wreak some reusable havoc. |

Taika1: send a sea colony pod to the target point. Create a colony and detonate the PB on it. Since it's your own city, the CP doesn't get as upset over it. |
