Topic: FIRAXIS, I don't want to wait for a patch- any way to fix this manually?

Under the sound preferences, none of the volume controls work except the main one. I find the sounds a bit disproportionate and I have to keep the sound down because of other people who live here, but I want to hear the music a bit because it adds to the game. Turning any one of the individual controls ("SFX", for example) all the way down even, does nothing at all.Is there a quick fix or do we have to wait (OnCe AgAin!!) for a patch? Lack

Those values are stored in the alpha centauri.ini file if you want to hack them. 0-128.jkm firaxis games |

Have you thought about headphones? Other than a patch or hacking the settings, headphones seem to be as good as it gets. |

Thanks for the posts. Bluemax, I tried headphones, but they give me a headache. Thanks anyways. Mr. Morris, I looked in the file, it is set where I put it at Voice= 27 and music=127 in the game, but it doesn't affect the sound. I turned voice down to 0 and voices are still there. Same with music. But main does work, however that is not what I need.Is this a bug or something? Lack |
