before you flame, spam or insult me:
I LOVE SMAC! its one of the best standalone games ever (single player).
Well everyone is talking about call to power! I just got my version of MANKIND... this is online only, but man this game rulez! if you like SMAC then go get mankind!!!! its so cool argggh

That's the problem though, it's a multi-player only game.
I hope game companies realize that not everyone wants to play against other people. I prefer to play single player games against the computer AI. I think it's a measure of lazyness on the developers, who think games should move in the multi-player only direction.

Still beta? You certainly wanted to say 'still alpha'! The developers still have to convince us that they can finish that game. I bought it two months ago and most game-relevant features are still missing. Ok, the idea is great and they gained a lot support by fans, but now all those fansites get off the net, one after another. I created one myself, but I see no reason to update it anymore. :-(
