Hello,
as we all know, you are doing your best with different patches. That is good.
But now I have a serious problem.
(I live in a student flat and my roommate is an entuhiastic Linux fan. So he _never_ will have MS on his computer.)
Well, now he has obducted my computer playing SMAC all the time and I can't play
As an example, today in mornig I barley had woken when asked if I should go somewere, so he could play SMAC.
This is a serious bug, I want my computer so _I_ can play.
Can you fix this bug too FIRAXIS?
(Don't take this wrong, he is an excellnet guy and we have been roommates over a year now with no problems, sofar.)
If this situation continues for long there will be a war and the battle is not an any computer.

P.S. Is there an option for multiplay were the players use the same computer in turns?

Yes, when multi-player games use the same computer and take turns it is called hotseat gaming - due to having to keep changing seats with the person whose turn is next. The original SMAC did not have hotseat as an option but the latest patch does. If you haven't already, d/l the latest patch and select hotseat as the multiplayer game option. It would also be a good idea to bug your roommate about d/ling the windows shell for Linux the minute it is out. If he is a programmer maybe he could be the one to write the code for it. (I am concidering it myself but too much work right now - not enough SMAC!)
