posted 03-05-99 04:24 PM ET You know, I really enjoy these forums (and I am apparently not alone). I must say that I find it kind of surprising the number of Trolls I see lurking about the discussion threads. I am very much in favor of having 100 opionions flourish and contend for the final "truth" but comments like "This game sucks." "I can't wait till CTP comes out so AC will get ground into the dust" "This game is so fatally flawed" etc. seem to have little constructive value. Further I really have to express curiousity about people who lurk around discussion forums for a game they don't like. If you genuinely dislike the game the solution to me seems relatively simple. Most places have liberal exchange policies and there are many other fine games (I am told) available. Perhaps your time would be better spent playing one of them. At the very least lingering over SMAC and continually venting your rage over it isn't healthy. That anger is going to make you constipated and unhappy. Really. It isn't of any great moment to me, I simply find Trolls vaguely funny. "What an idiot, he's writing to post negative opinions on the Firaxis board. As if anybody will be giving him validation or support." And then I move on. Perhaps you should consider similar options. Yours always. Quix0te

And yet you 'helpfully' post for the lurking anti-smac trolls a post for them to continue their litany of opinions. (LOL)

Constructive criticism and discourse, good.
Rants, good entertainment but IMO a waste of space (Don't stop its just MY opinion).
Slamming other peoples posts to boost your ego and overcome deep feelings of insecurity, bad. Get help.
