I noticed a strange thing when I as about to win by trancendence. I was playing on Librarian, played UoP and the year was 2355.
When I finished the Voice of Planet SP I couldnt build the Ascent to Trancendence SP.
It was not the Time Limit thas was the problem (2600 ?) and I choose "Play with current rules" when i started and the current rules i had chosen was my my own specific choice (Spoils of War for example). Then I activated the Scenario Editor and found out that the rules didnt look like anything i have ever chosen. Only one "rule" was set (didnt remeber which) and NO victory conditions. I couldnt have won that game, not by Conquest or anything else. Other players I know have this problem as well. I loaded one of my previous save games from the same game and even the first one (year 2107) had the same mystic settings. When I altered the rules to what i had originally set and tried again, everything worked. I could build Acent to Trancendence, win Ecenomic victory...
* Could these rules-settings have been choosen as a bug (despite my choice)?
* Does it happen only when you choose "Play with current rules" (as opposed to custumize rules. I obviously doesnt happen every time because this was the first thing I tested and it worked correctly that one time at least)
* Does anyone else have this problem?
I would be happy if anyone could enlighten me on the subject or at least confirm my problem.
BTW this i an awsome game. The first thing I wished for after having played Civ 1 for about 3 weeks was "I would like a space-version' on CIV".
My dreams come true! Thanx Firaxis and Sid Meyer.
