Well, I finally avoided getting smashed long enough to get to "probe" technology. Always enjoying the devious, I attempted to go probe my enemy (not like that). Well, they kept getting captured, and some message flashed lightning-quick at the bottom of the screen. I missed it. What do I need to do to make my probings (huh huh) more effective? Send them in groups? Of the 4 times I've sent them they've magically reappeared in my home base. How, I do not know, because I keep missing the messages. Any ideas? thanks!

Well, who wouldn't want to Probe Deidre?Ahem, anyway, enough of such talk. Um, when you perform the action, there should be two percentage listings. The first is the chance of success, the second is the chance of escaping alive afterwards. So if they're returning to your bases, that's just them, "returning alive". No idea on the message, as I have yet to use them myself. Um, in the game that is... |

Actually, thinking about it, the message might be about the Probe team improving in ability (just like normal troops). Also answers the question on how to make them better (the more successful probes, the better you get). Um, so to speak... |

Another thing to remeber is that most technologies that have to do with computers (Mind/Machine Interface, Digital Sentience etc.) raise your base probe team morale.-Lightwing

Remember that probe morale is affected by command centers just like combat units, so be sure to build them in cities where you've built the centers. Also, I don't think probes require support so be sure to stockpile them ahead of time. |
