Just to refresh your memory...Civ II has 196 very tightly packed pages, with an 8 page Tech supplement.
Will I have that depth of reading when I buy SMAC tomorrow??????

245 tightly packed pages for SMAC-->
145 on how to play the game
About 50 on different technologies, facilities, social factors, units, etc.
About 40 pages are devoted to the story of the planet-->GREAT ADDITION
also, nice poster with technology tree
Firaxis definitely doesn't disappoint when it comes to the SMAC manual...

Except they left out an index. I hope it's the last time they make that blunder. That aside, I thought it an exceptional manual (when compared to the typical these days).
I've read the think 6 or 7 time at least...
