At the time, I was the dominant faction on Planet but all six of the otehr factions were still around and all had declared Vendetta with me at some stage. I was on Noble/Unsurpassed so I called the Council to declare me Supreme Leader.
Unsuprisingly, all six voted nay. However, I just had enough votes (by about 10 to 15) to secure me the 3/4 necessary. I thought I had won but what happened next really caught me off-guard All six, yes ALL, of the factions defied the ruling of the Council (i.e. ME ). bear in mind I had NOT committed any atrocities. Of course, I had to achieve a Conquest Victory...

Well, 14 years, and many Quantum Hovertanks, later, I had eliminated or subjugated (read bought out) ALL their bases. Took a bit longer, but their screams as I popped them in the Punishment Sphere probably made up for all of that = 142%

Anybody experienced that as well ??
