I had thought that I had a game that could take the place of Civ2 on my 'For Keeps' shelf. But I am beginning to have second thoughts. I have only played one game so far so I am not willing to say an absolute yes or no at this time. It may very well turn out to be a game that will grow on me.Here is my current list of questions:
1) Why do bases with anything in the queue
complete a build and then begin to
stockpile energy?
2) What is with the ground strike penalty?
Even today we have ground attack fighters
(ie. A-10 Warthog). I looked at the
alpha.txt and it said for air superiority
fighters but I have seen the penalty
applied to my non-superiority fighters.
3) Would it be possible to add the ability
for me to ask a pact partner to help me
defend one of my bases that is under
seige?
4) If a probe team uses the mind control/
total thought control ability why does the
captured base still produce extra drones
because it was captured?
5) Why can't grav units be cloaked?
6) How is the cloaking device defeated? I
had a cloaked tank sit next to an enemy
base and on his turn he bombarded my tank.
7) Why is a grav unit considered an air unit?
Shooting a grav tank with a stinger, IMHO,
would just piss off the crew.
And yet
my base busting tanks are getting wasted
by AAA infantry units. HUNH?!?
8) Why is it that when I click on a worker to
change it to a specialist I get the pop-up
but it doesn't change. This, so far, only
happens on my large bases (18+).
Well that is all I have for now. I have to
go back to playing because I have starting to
have withdrawal pains. Until next time
remember that: "Might makes Right!" - Spartan proverb.
