A welcome return! (not, but I just had to post it anyway) Why are all the female leaders in the game significantly younger than the male leaders? The youngest of the males (lal) is eight years older than the oldest female (miriam). Sounds like an advanced form of Ageism/Sexism to me!

Y' know, I actually thought he was serious for a second. Yes, of course it is ludicrous...but you never know what someone out there will say. I never could see how anyone could be againist training those who get layed off new skills so they can go out and get good jobs- but it was defeated horribly when Clinton proposed it. PawtheUnstuk |

For that matter, where did everyone go? Only a few months ago were the good old days of the I-Club and the Nexus and other. Feh. Everything changes. |

What happened to them? The same thing that happened to most of us ... SMACoholism. You'll see them soon in your local SMAC-A meeting "Hi ... my name's Jaime, I first picked up the Demo back in '98 ..."Cheers |

Most of us are still here Arnelos. You just gotta look through a couple of the threads (esp on the Non-SMAC related forum).Good to see you again (metaphorically speaking). |

Good to see you too Brother Greg.I mentioned it on the CD thread, but here it is again: Our faction turned out rather well, didn't it? I think it is quite wonderous, as we had hoped. Arnelos Peacekeeper Keeper of Wisdom |

Yeah, I like the PKs. I'm playing them right now in my first game (yeah, STILL - it has taken me 14 hours or so so far alone), and I am about 2/3 - 3/4 of the way up the tech tree. Going for a transcend victory. I saved a while ago, and went for the "Unify planet under your command" (Diplomatic victory - whatever it is called), but I didn't like the ending too much, and I am way too curious to see how transcend works. So, just another 8 hours or so, heh heh. Running them under Demo/Green/Knowledge/Eudaimonia, and with the Hunter-Seeker algorithm, they are awesome. Way ahead in tech, killed off the Hive and Believers, both of whom were really annoying me, and forced the Spartans to surrendur after taking one city in one turn with Mind Worms and a scout unit. Ah, getting carried away I know, but I love this game... |

Hi Arnelos! I wonder where you went. Yes, I'm still here! Approaching 1000 (if I haven't passed it yet!).
What ever happened to Yo_Yo_Yo_Hey, Brother Greg, The Director General, AUH20, Rang, Roland, Octopus, Thomas A Stobie, DJ RRebel, MikeH, Jfrazier, LDespot, Apoc., Maya, Larry Boy, JB, Spoe, where are they?
Most are on Off-topic, esp. DG, Roland, MikeH, Spoe. However, they post less, and less. YYYH posts in Off-topic from time to time, but he finds these forums boring after the newbies arrived, and he has been postin (along with me!) in the Apolyton Civ2 forums, where I already have 500 posts! Now, A lot have left us! Apoc, I haven't seen in a while. Later! Imran Siddiqui (PS, check out the Off-Topic forums from time-to time)

Arnelos!(tear in eye for PK reunion) As Imran said, I'm very offtopic at the moment, as I haven't got the game yet. And I won't for some more days, as otherwise, I'd never get some "urgent" things done. The forum is bad enough... How about a trip to off-topic-city ? |

Woa!Welcome back Arnelos! Long time no see! As the other said, most of us are posting a lot less these days (except for a few keeping the flame alive, like Octo & Roland) and mostly in the Off-Topic forums. Like Roland, I still didn't got the game because I'm waiting for my exam week to end (I know what will happen if I try to buy SMAC and I can't allow that!) =). We should try to start a multiplayer game will all of us sometime. It would be great. Think it's time to update your web page Arnelos? =) Anyway, I'll go back to study for my exams =( *Hugs* -Maya "Humanism is a philosophy of joyous service for the greater good of all humanity, of application of new ideas of scientific progress for the benefit of all." -- Linus Pauling |
