Do the continents have names? I haven't found any yet, but since the areas have names, it seems like there should be some. (And I don't want to hear Gondwanaland, PanGaea, etc
Also, have I just not found them, or is there not any equivalent to Aircraft Carrier? And some kind of anti-air ship like Aegis (although I suspect this can be designed in the Unit Workshop, a ship with AAA or something). One of my favorite things to do in Civ1/2 was building a carrier battle group

There is a tech (don't have the docs handy) that gives a "carrier deck" enchancement for units. I think (stress think) it is one of the Doctrine techs.
The submarine carrier is particularly wonderful I find.

Put a troop transport on a ship, then add a Carrier Deck as one of its special abilities.
You know, I never even thought about naming the continents, although they seem to me to have a 'personality' much more than any of the landmarks. I think of them as the Big Pregnant Mindworm (head in the ruins), the Louisiana Thing (in the middle), and the Smiling Elephant Head (which originally looked much more like a smiling elephant head, but I tried to fix that).

Hey, Chris? Could you come up with some? You have no idea how infinitely helpful it would be to have a -complete- "official" Map of Planet.. drool..

How about calling the continents, in the order that Chris Pine described them, by these names?
Roseanne (after Ms Barr) (OR Zoe, for life)
Purchase (OR Mrs Hippy, to jibe the Gaians)
Babar (to honor the French children's storybooks)
