I tried to move one of my cities to a better spot. The city was size 1, so I built a colony pod. But when the colony pod was completed, the city didn't disband. Is this the right method? While building the pod, the city growth was stagnant, and the only facility in the city was the Network thing, since I was playing as Zakharov. Also, there were no units being supported. What gives?

It is possible that the computer rearranged resource use to the point where the citygrew right before making the colony pod. I successfuly used the technique you described to disband a two-person city that I didn't like, so I can't imagine why it didn't work for you. |

I captured a size one city and built a colony pod, expecting the city to evaporate. Instead, it never actually build the pod and just kept adding on 'wasted' (red) resources. I know this works for your own cities, perhaps there's a prohibition on doing it to captured ones. |

On talent lvl and below I think. I think the game puts in a limitation that you can not kill cities from colonalization. I purchased the Strat guide for the game and at one of the lvls and below it disables destruction of the base from colonaization. |

Yup ... this is a good way to get rid of the conquered PPoF city blues ... colonise somewhere nearby using pods from this city ... citizens become so much more amenable once they've been relocated James |

On the lower levels building a colony pod doesn't cost any population. |
