I'm really enjoying the little quotes that accompany each text advance. Are they in a text file somewhere, either on the CD or on the web? I'd like to memorize a few of them. Thanks.

They are in one of the txt files. It's not alpha.txt. I think it's named tech.txt or something like that. It details all of the technologies with their short names, long names, descriptions and quotes. The tech tree itself is in alpha.txt and references the short names. |

The tech.txt files, both long and short, just have the -descriptions- of the techs, not the quotes from philosophers real and imaginary. Would someone (Jeff?) please tell me where to find thelist of the quotations, like those of Plato, Moore, et.? |

By the way, let me emphasize how much I'm enjoying these. Usually I ignore the "window dressing" in strategy games; I turned off the movies, throne room, etc in Civ2 very early one. But these quotes are very well done, both in the writing and the voices, and I much prefer voiceovers to movies or popwindows because they don't get in the way of game play. Good job! |

I LOVE that netowrk node. Marching timing song: "I don't know but I been told" <repeat by chorus> "Deidre's got a network node" <again> "Loves to flick the on/off switch" <once more> "Dig that crazy Gaian witch!" <one more time> <Sounds of Sargent moving his aquad off ...>I played the UoP the first couple of games so missed this entirely (you don't build NNodes). Cracked up when I heard it playing my first Spartan game James |

I love the old quote from the John Henry stories. Brings back memories of elementary school This quote happens when you build the Robotic Assembly Plant for the first time. |
