This happens to me a lot as Morgan, but never as anyone else, so far. Does anyone know if this occurs due to Free Market, Wealth, being Morgan, or just having a lot of money stashed away? Either way, I've learned to truly capitalize and invest my money in improvements and projects and keep a relatively small amount in liquid assets. |

It can happen to anyone; it's happened to me in each of my games, and I haven't played Morgan yet. It IS a major pain in the butt, though. |

So they've finally simulated stockmarket crashes in TBS games ;-) But, what is associated with the crash, the Stockpiled Energy counter? |

According to Prima's strategy guide, the energy market crash is a random event, just as likely as any other. It can go one of two ways... A: if energy is less than 1000 credits you lose 75% of your energy. B: if you have more than 500 credits and are in 4th place or lower, you get double your credits. Interesting observation... I was playing an advanced game, then got the global warming warning. I tried to save my bases, failed. Along the way I had a market crash. I restored back, and hurried a few formers. When the year of the crash came, I was below 1000 EC and had a market boom instead. :-> |
