So there I was reinstalling smac for a full installion when it gets to the electronic registration. SO I think good, I very much think both SMG and SMAC are very good games, so for once I will do this. Only one problem...<anger on> AUSTRALIA IS NOT LISTED. SOMEONE TELL THOSE BONEHEADS AT EA TO LIST IT!!!!! <anger off> So I listed it as Ocenica and my state as VA wherever that is. Pity there wasn't a comments field. And yes, this is the Asia/Pasific region version. Hmm, I wounder if the EA marketer who relesed it early here got fired or a bonus?

So you would prefer to just list "Europe", "Asia", "Oceania", "The America's", and "Africa" as the locations??? although you could probably drop Oceania and include it in Asia, after all, we're close to there.James |

While we're at it, we could prune it a bit farther to: Americas. Eurasia & Africa. Then with a lisght be of even more streamlining, we could just us: The Earth. What do ya think? |

I *ENTIRELY* agree, and when I noticed that Botswania is listed, and the list includes countries I haven't even HEARD Of (and I'm not a pig ignorant BRUCE) but no Australia I thought Electronic Arts were either oblivious to their market or trying to insult us!Please, someone at Firaxis, have a word to the Programmers at EA and give them a clue, this left a bad taste in my mouth! (Great game though, more than made up for it).

You'll probably find that it is a leftover from the fact that they can't sell directly to Australia either. EA has a contract with somebody (who I can't remember right now) to distribute to Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.Seeing as you can't order direct from EA in those countries, I imagine that's why you can't register online. Or something... |

If they listed Botswana but not Australia, it is proabably an oversite. I'd rather they make a mistake in the registration program than in the actual game. LamprosWC |

Yes I noticed this too. A Firaxis rep said that e-registration was dropped from internationally shipped versions - a policy of EA apparently. Never mind Comstr, it's no great loss. I gave up registering with o/s game companies - I never got any news, info or updates from them regarding my games. As regards Australia as Oceania, this is possible if you'd also call Canada and the US North America. Somehow I don't think Americans would let that one wash (and rightly so!). Just be grateful they've given up confusing us with Austria. |

That's a bummer, I'll sure be pissed off when I get the game. This is a bit off this topic, but is it true that Nintendo brought out EA? Personaly, I didn;t think that was possible. |
