Anyone ever had a faction surrender to you while they still possessed over 10 cities? I was playing UoP today and had the Hive and Belivers surrender to me while they still controlled massive empires. My tech lead was great, but there was still going to be a couple of nasty fights to come if they hadnt thrown in the towel. Their choice was logical and resistance was futile (humm, wonder where I heard that?), but I've never had them surrender to me that soon. Oh well, made for an interesting game.

Yes, I have had the Hive surrender to me while still in possession of ALL of its land bases, which made up atleast 90% of its population. The AI must take into accounts the number of bases lost, the number of turns which it took to lose those bases, the number of units lost since the beggining of the conflict and your strength relative to its.
