Does salvaging the unity core have any effect beyond the stated +500 energy credits and if not why does the computer usually demand 1000+ energy credits to vote for salveging it. I can understand some techs or around 100 energy for the vote of Yea but not more then I would get out of it. Is this a diplomacy glitch or is there more to the core then mentioned?

kinda wierd that the AI asks for retarded amouts of money or stuff. once i was morgan, very late game i had like 50,000+ energy (lots of energy related stuff for me,mainly 20 orbital power stansmiters ) and the belivers ask for about 500 $$ or be crushed by her amry. i was like umm ok
