Just wondering, does the computer-controlled factions ever commit atrocities? I imagine at some point they'll sink a city or planetbust. Do the same restrictions of losing trade or worldwide Vendetta apply to them too?

After you repeal the charter, they will atrocity to hell. Before that, maybe, maybe not, they think intelligently about it first though. They are big on Nerve Gas. |

I have no confirmation of this (Jeff?) but I believe that computer players both commit atrocities (damn Hive and their nerve gas-happy minions..) and recieve penalties for doing so. |

Yes, the computer will use planet busters even if the UN charter on atrocities has not been repealed. The Beleviers demonstrated this once to me by using a planet buster on the computer controlled Hive. And yes, all the computer players declared war on here. |

I was playing the hive, and the Believers were backed into a small corner of my continent, so they were really pissed off. We were at war, and I was on the verge of taking one of their bases, when they decided to destroy the city rather than let me take it.Later, she managed to take one of my cities, and did the same thing, murdering my poor citizens. Each instance only imposed 20 years of economic sanctions, compared with the 30 I got for mind stapling my people once... |
