However ... I'm sure many other share my deep appreciation for being here that late, posting the new 2.0 PATCH **AND** answering questions and keeping us on the straight and narrow!

Hahaha... Live at peace with them... even form pacts of brotherhood with them if you want... but jeesh.. you aren't supposed to fall in love with other faction members.. hahaha

Sectoids? Bah, I hated those 'durn Etherals! Especially before you ever had Psi defense! There I would be, sitting in my aircraft, and one mind controlled squaddie would prime and drop an alien grenade in the middle of everything. Grrr...

As far as hated SMAC personalities go, I have to growl and grind my teeth more towards Yang. Not only is he a jerk when it comes to diplomacy, but he's a tough cookie too.

LOL, I thought that was a funny article. Why Miriam??? Maybe Lady Deirdre Skye, but Miriam??? I think she is ugly!

How can you hate someone that cannot hurt you? I was playing my standard UoP last night and I met Miriam around 2180. Well, needless to say she immediately declared war on me. It was pathetic. She would attack with her two units from her transport, and they would die against my Formers. She doesn't use probe teams, she doesn't research, how does she expect to win? I mean, when I wiped her off of the planet last night with my Hover Planes her best unit was a 2-3-10 Fighter because someone took pit on her and gave her Doctrine:Air Power.T Those died in droves against my 13-6-26? Hover Craft. And as for the Mongol technique of quantity versus quality, it doesn't work when it takes 5 of her Needlejets to kill one of my Formers.
All in all, I say don't fear her, ignore her.

What a loser. Aside from making friend with his mortal enamy and giving her his valuable techs, he get her to DEFEND HIM? You need to get rid of Miriam swiftly, before she can use that 25% attack bonus to her advantege. Not to mention what he actualy worte.

"Alpha Centauri's players are distinct and memorable, led by vivid personalities. In fact, I must confess that in spite of her bad haircut, I'm strangely attracted to one such personality, Sister Miriam--never mind, I probably shouldn't go there."
I guess there truely is something about Miriam, after all.
Damn, I can't wait for this game. If only I could get to a mall...

Driedle is much better looking, plus she's not such a bitch. Apart form the tree hugging, she's cool. But no, they all go for Miriam. They probably feel sorry for her because they know she;ll get killed.
