After suffering through the indignaties of the dreaded 100 turn demo limit, I was certainly thrilled to enter turn 101....But the depth of this game does not even begin to reveal itself until much later in the contest.
Although the Governors and Transformers can be set to an automated mode, and, indeed once a faction's growth takes hold they are an integral part of the game, Human intervention is still necessary to ensure that proper units are developed, as well as important structures.
However, the game is fun to play. And I mean FUN! As Tech levels continue to increase very powerful and uniquely designable units become available. And never forget about the fact that it is important to develop those underwater colonies. Navies are clearly an important aspect of this game.
The full version has enhanced media effects, as all scientific breakthroughs are narrated. I also like the interrogation performed on the captured leaders after erradicating their pesky faction, at least while playing the Spartans.
Time passes quickly as you want to play just a few more turns. Negotiations with the various factions also adds to the ambiance. It is good to be strong when entering into these discussions.
I know I have only scratched the surface as I continue to drill deeper into this game.
So Thank You Firaxis for another great product...
