Just wondering-- the Firaxis folks said there'd be a patch around the time the product ships (improving hi-rez graphics performance, and a few other things).
Any word on when the patch will be available? And is there any chance that it will trash save games (as happened with a certain other company's game that shall remain nameless)?

I don't replay games-- but if I'm halfway through a game when the patch arrives, It'd be nice to be able to install the patch and finish the game. Not nearly as important, though, as it was with Fallout2^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H that other game...

Friday is the goal and the testing is going fine. Save format will not be effected.

Thanks for the update.
You know it's funny, but waiting for the patch doesn't seem nearly as bad as waiting for the game itself. I wonder why that is?
