I have just started reading through Ian M. Banks' back catalogue of excellent Science Fiction (as well as the non-Sci-Fi stuff he publishes under Ian Banks). His stuff is kind of dark and pure science fiction rather than future history. Anyway one of his books is called "The Player of Games" The hero is a games player who travels to an alien world where the whole basis of government is based on the most complicated turn based strategy game in the galaxy. Anyway if you like Sci-Fi and TBS you ought to give it a go. |
