No offence to people who have only been on this sight for a couple of weeks, we all start some time. However there seems to have been an influx of "Newbies" into this forum since I last browsed this sight. As I said before, no offence to newbies but is there any one out there who knows who I am?

Bossman,Yeh, my original name got wiped out at midnight EST, 5/10/99 when the multiplayer forum crashed. I had to choose another. My old password stopped working, but when I tried to get the password sent to me, it said no users registered at my address. Then I tried re-registering the name. It said that the name was in use. I wrote the webmaster and they never responded. On a lark, I tried to register JAMiAM again, a couple of days ago. Imagine my joy when it allowed me to register it. They sent me a confirmation with a new password and I went on to type up a wonderfully cogent and relevent reply to some thread, only to find that upon submitting, I got the message that my password was incorrect!!! I was so pissed, I just cleared fields on the post. JAMiAM for I have angered the Gods. |

PS: Shepherd's Bush here... you know, they had a fight in the BushRanger a while back, and they sent TWENTY-FOUR, yes 24, police cars and riot vans... it was wall-to-wall Boys In Blue from horizon to horizon... hilarious |

Nell, you trying to start something? How dare you suggest that Reading is a part of London. It's it's a thriving cultural haven in its own right. (That's a joke, for anyone who's never been there it's actually pretty cool in an "Oh god, not the Turtle AGAIN kind of way.") Can I make extremely unfunny observational jokes about Reading that no-one but me and maybe Bossman will get? Please? Can I? |

lmao... sorry Mike, couldn't resist that... although all it's gonna take is a few more out-of-town shopping complexes on the edge of West London and you'll be able to walk from Reading to Charing Cross without once leaving Tesco/IKEA/Toys R Us... Mind you, a lot of the people I spoke to in Florida seem to think that the whole of Britain is in London... and that only about 10 people live in London as well... Me: Hello, I'm from Bristol. American person: Is that in London? Me: No, it's 120 miles to the west. A.P.: Oh, it's in London then? Me: Whatever. A.P.: You must know my cousin, he lives in London. Me: There are 6 million people in Greater London. A.P.: Sure... his name's Bob... say hi to him from me when you see him! hehe Nell... meaning no offence to any American people by the way... just my (bad) sense of humour... |

Bristol, I go there quite a lot, nice place. My brother's living there apparently although I haven't heard from him in a few months. You must go through Reading on the way home stopping at our wonderful railway station or passing Juctions 10,11 and 12 of the M4, possibly the M4's best junctions.Insert "because you can use them to get out of Reading" joke here. |

Nell, Mike... I think it's time we owned up and stop living the lie...London is a small picturesque town situated on the banks of the Thames river, It has a population of about 40 people, with another 20 or so professional actors commuting in every day for the cheerful cockney street scenes. It has two pubs, a butchers, William the Fishmongers (Fresh Haddock Every Day !) and a small branch of Woolworths. The London you see on TV is a mock-up, based in the village of Shepherd's Bush, next to Nell's house. |

Win3.0, now that really was dire! So it's all his fault... hehe Actually he was a planet-brain who used to design the chips for MoD vision-guided vehicles... they spent 6m on a prototype, got all the military top brass out to watch its trial run... and drove it straight down a mineshaft! At Reading Uni my friend was doing Cybernetics. The staff built a robot to run in the reading half marathon, it was supposed to follow a line on the road. Come race day the robot ignored the line completely and went straight for the sun and was immediately disqualified, seems they used UV reflection or something. They obviously didn't get out into the real world much. Bristol is cool, some good clubs there apparently although everytime I am there we don't go to them. |
