I've gotta tell you this.Got back this morning - reasonably straight. A friend parks his car in the multi-storey. We get the lift, me and another mate Nutty Dave. Said, Nutty Dave is trying to roll a ciggy in the lift and, being the worse for wear, makes a mess of it. Spills his roll-up over all over the lift floor. Suddenly, he screams. "Ants, ants, everywhere". He then tries jumping on all his spilled baccy shouting "kill them all, kill them all". Nell,Magnetic boots help. The blood rushing to your head is quite a disturbing sensation, though. I also initially thought that scout patrols and synthie sentinels reminded me of Neil Armstrong. (maggie boots link) As for off-topic. I'm more off than on and put my hands up to that - attention span of a nano-grasshopper. But, then again, I think I amke more sense off-topic than on-topic. Ot maybe I make no sense at all. Having been described today as " a wacky wanker". I don't know whether to laugh, cry or just carry on regardless (Ooh, stop messing about) LoD, I wish you a nice vacation. Where are you off to - the Baltic, the country or somewhere more exotic? A giant step for a scout patrol... and that's another thing that cracks me up. Every time I see the word "scout patrol" - I have visions of them sitting in a cirle around Santiago (the archetypal Akela - or maybe Miriam) chanting "we will dib our dob" or some such nonsense. Also, why do units with drop ability have go-fast stripes on them? Also, supply crawlers look like Fiat-126s and choppers look like wasps. Resource Consumer - can't stop laughing when playing SMAC -

RC: Stop it, I can't take SMAC seriously at all now!! The mere thought of anyone saying "dib dib dib" to Miriam just cracks me up... not to mention the giant plates of spaghetti that keep appearing out of the xenofungus and eating all my budding Neil Armstrongs and Buzz Aldrins... Gotta argue about the choppers though... ages ago, someone on the forum (not me, but I wish it had been) asked why, instead of helicopters, we'd been given go-karts with lawnmower blades stapled to the top of them. I can't look at choppers without smirking ever since... Nell... easily amused |

OK Nell,I take the point on the go-karts. Actually, the speeders look like a pedal car I had when I was about 4. The other thing that gets me is the pictures in the build screen. Why is there a smiling child for the rec. commons - surely that should be children's creche. Sometimes I get so confused. Oh, and by the way, have you noticed how Morgan's cities look like ice creams. SO that's what happened to Ben and Jerry. Resource Consumer - getting licked by the opposition! - |

So, you've got people putting pinholes in your wall as well. Do you line your house with foil? That's why I thought they were doing it but perhaps I'm wrong.Reminds me of the man who set out to eat spiders around the world. He came back and said they were very tasty but they all tasted of nutmeg. He was later found mad and committed to the asylum. If he was mad, what do you think about the nutter who went round painting all the spiders with nutmeg? Resource Consumer - spider drumsticks, mmm... value for money - |

Not my wall, a friends. She used to hang indian style wall hangings fron the ceiling they kept getting knocked down when too many people sat on the bed, hence a lot of pin holes. Most of the time they just looked like pinholes. |

PS: I always find that, if you build a new base and leave it ungarrisoned, one turn later a worm eats it.
