HelloKitty: "I like to see another gal involved" ... does that mean that you're a gal? Actually there are at least two other gals who post regularly... Eris and HeatherWst... although they don't drivel endlessly like me, fortunately for all Jimmy: Hmmm I think an "oxymoron" is a phrase that is mutually contradictory... like "Holy War" or "Business Ethics" ... but there *is* a term for what you mean, i.e. a phrase in which one word is redundant because it means the same as the other word... errr... come on, someone, help my senile brain to remember the correct term! It's driving me mad(der)! Nell... oh btw this is not to imply that I'm agreeing with Jimmy... hmmm better shut up now I think |

I certainly did not use the correct word, but as the thought has fled my rather limited mind I am afraid that we had best move on to another subject.HelloKitty: Certainly, I am not offended nor should you be by my question. I had no idea of such a concept. Your work must be very interesting.

I've even phoned my Mum (fount of all wisdom) and asked her, and she couldn't remember either... obviously my senility is catching! JT - I'll take up any challenge you or anyone wants - play with humans is fun. I think Hello Kitty's 'tude towards me can be summed up in a few words: "Gay & Lesbian Activist," since she took exception to my flaming rimmer for his recent "spraying the urine in the mouths" crap in his posts, as you can see in Rimmer's "Hello Mike" topic. It's not PC to object to someone imposing their attitudes and fetishes in a totally unrelated forum. BTW Hello Kitty and Rimmer - I don't care one way or the other about someone's race, sex, sexual orientation or fetishes - we are all human beings. Maybe we could take a poll on it, but I don't think the majority of posters here, or the larger pool of lurkers are into anyone's sociopolitical agenda, sexual fetishes, opinions on national and racial supremacy, etc. If a newbie asks a question, unless it is ridiculous and rude, they should get an answer without a concluding remark of "spraying the golden urine of knowledge into the mouths of the ignorant." If you as a new female poster, received an answer that was concluded with a degrading sexist remark, would you be inspired to participate in this forum? Would you defend someone concluding each of his or her posts with a white supremacist statement? How about something along the lines of k_shane's bigotry and homophobia? (check out his posts and topics in non-SMAC related) So why should someone's "in your mouth" golden shower fetish be cool? BTW - Rimmer, if you catch this post, I apologize to you for my "fagfetishes.com" remark - that was over the line as well. Obviously, we're all free to post anything we want, but I'd like to see the forum expand the knowledge base and play quality and interest in SMAC. Peace, MtG |

And so the quest begins. MtG has accepted. I hereby name the game simply: "SMACMASTERS #1" In order to play you must qualify by meeting my baseline score of 1300 on Scenario Lal_2286 found at http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Dome/3802/ This will be a four to six player game depending on interest. I propose we abide by standard CMN rules and enlist one of the CMNs to moderate. Aceplayer is welcome as a reward for all the work he has done on his great site. (Unless, he qualifies, however, he will have to enter as a jr. smacmaster ) Remaining details will be worked out among the contestants. jimmytrick, Lord of SMAC, SMACGOD PRIME, and AAGG (aka Lt. Nell - Hello Kitty is this really cute cartoon and product character from Sanrio Co. in Japan - they have a few Hello Kitty stores here, and a huge one at Sanrio's headquarters in eastern Tokyo. Hello Kitty is white, with a bow in her hair at an angle, and cute little eyes and facial expression. Hello Kitty has a huge product line of stuff for kids - backpacks and school stuff, sheets, towels, note paper, everything you can imagine. It is really huge with Japanese kids - boys to about 6, girls to 10 or a little older. |

I accept the game.I will now reply to several questions I was too lazy to answer yesterday. Hello Kitty is marketing HEAVEN that has gained popularity among gay and lesbian groups and is beloved by the Japanese. I have two of these qualities . My mother is Japanese and has been to tokyo many times. She always brings me back Hello Kitty toys and I have photos of two of the Hello Kitty superstores but I have never been. I was defending Rimmer and really have no hate for you Michael, but leave the fag comments to the pros. Besides I think he's kind of funny (in a gross kind of way). He probably lives a lonely life and has no sexual outlets. There was something else I was going to say but I have forgot. I'm purring Kitty |

Kitty - As far as I know, the search function has never worked for this site.I used to live and work in Japan in '85 and '86. If you take the main road in from the east to Tokyo (from Narita airport, Omiya etc.), there's this HUGE Hello Kitty on Sanrio's building saying "Welcome to Tokyo" - it must be 15 stories high. I don't remember the names, but there's a bunch of related characters and merchandise - all very cute. Based on what Jimmytrick posted and our emails, the game stands at you, Nell, JT, myself and aceplayer if we hear back from him. |

Michael: Hmmm I dunno if anything can compete with SouthPark for the title of Top Toon... unless it be some of the Manga/Anime stuff... Akira was the best one of those, if you ask me... or perhaps the early Simpsons - the later ones are way too contrived.JAM_U_R: Hey... staunch human allies excepted, of course! But in my solo games, no matter how matey Deirdre seems, and no matter how many lovely gifts I give her, or how long she's been my Pact Sister, she always ends up trying to nuke me. Very green tactic, I always think... And thanks for the info on the mysterious phrase... although I'm sure you can guess my response, based as it is on my constant ramblings about lightsabres and men called Ewan... (Although that could, of course, be a huge bluff... and maybe I'm really an 86-year-old guy, having a laugh... hehe) Well I'm more than happy to accept a place in the new game... although I'm very ashamed to admit to my qualifying score in the Lal_2286 scenario... a paltry 1209!!! How on earth did you guys get 1300+?? Mind you, I only played it once, and I've always found it difficult jumping into scenarios that are halfway through a game... I can't really get the feel of what's going on, and am too lazy to check exactly what troops and facilities I've got... I'm not so hopeless when I've started from scratch, honest! Nell... looking forward to meeting Kitty - and everyone else - on Chiron! |

Actually...Rimmer's tag line is over the top. This is a place that has children from 8 and up reading AND POSTING. That tag line itself is enough to get him a 4 year trip to Georgia or Mississippi jail since he KNOWS this forum is read by underaged american citizens. That's the simple truth. It's not free and protected speech. South Park, as a work of art and social commetary, is. Strange, yes? MtG's problem with Rim's Water Sports allusions are as a parent. Nothing more protective than a Dad on his righteous course protecting his children, other than a Mom. Mine is it seems several levels below his normal style, but we all like to play below our level now and again. But it does opens up such doors for the mentally, emotionally, or self-aware/comfortably challenged to foul threads that otherwise could prove interesting. Good luck to all of you in your game. -Darkstar |

Darkstar - don't forget Tennessee, unless they've mellowed a bit or gone back to catching 'shiners. They used to have a real thing about porn sites on the net, prosecuting them for violating local law simply because you could access things from within the state.I didn't originally have a problem with Rimmer's tag line the first couple of times. It wasn't in his first several postsm and it seemed like it was done as a flame at first, and I put it in the crude and gross, but kinda funny category. My daughter thought it was just gross, but it's not like she was traumatized, just grossed out and less interested in prowling the forum. For a 12 year old daughter of a southern boy, she's pretty hip, and a lot of the cool restaurants in San Diego, not to mention the best dessert place in town (Karen Krasne's Extraordinary Desserts - 2929 Fifth Avenue if anyone's ever here) are right near and around Hillcrest, which is the gay area of SD. Some of the regulars we hang out with at these restarants and at ED are gay, and everybody is into food, dessert, conversation and life in general, not political agendas or whatever. My only problem with Rimmer's tag line was when it became the standard feature of every post he made, and cropped up all over the place. We all lower our level on occasion, just hopefully not too far, or too continuously. You and I had a minor disagreement with Xenoman/MiKaeLe's posting the porn pic in off-topic - both of us agreeing that the pic should go, but disagreeing in his being banned from future posts. I don't like to see people banned, or to see EA or someone decide to pull the plug if the forum doesn't generate positive publicity for them and the game, which is their entire intent. I'm one of those bleeding heart First Amendment liberals that doesn't think even k_shane should be banned, although his bigotry, prejudice and war crimes propagandizing for the Serbs is more repulsive by far than anything anyone else has put on these forums. I'd like to see everyone able to post here, and the forums stay, but people to use a little common sense and occasional courtesy/mercy in sparing infrequent posters or new to the game types from our flamethrowers and barbecues. |

MtG - I have close relatives that live in Tennessee. I TRY to keep an up spin in my mind about it... despite the fact that the last time they mowed their lawn, they found 2 cars they had forgot they had. I'm serious. What's wild, is that he's the manager for the operations department of my town's Electrical Company (highly mannered, well spoken, well dressed, very knowledgable EE), and she's the manager of Chrysler's local auto manufactoring plant. You would never think Redneck... unless you've seen their house. Wild wild wild... But aside from that, Tennessee got slapped down for trying. Miss and Georgia haven't. Theirs have held up so far, so its probably all in what you prosecute, and who is related to you in DC. -Darkstar |

The next Warlords game won't be out for a little while still. It will be a RTS game this time called Warlords Battlecry. Don't worry TBS fans, there are planning a TBS Warlords4 after Battlecry. Look, a free plug. A select handfull of us have been keeping the Warlords sites existing during the lull. If we can do that for a year+ old game, we cam easily do that for a younger game.
