posted 06-22-99 03:04 PM ET i have a great idea, but i dont know if its already available (game is really big)...any ways it goes as follows: When someone commits an atrocity with the UN charter repeled, they should pay for the attrocity (punishment differs with the crime) when and if the charter is reinstated. So lets say someone nuked a base- atrocity- when the other bases reinstate the charter he will be punished. But it doesnt end there, if the atrocity is severe - genocide or nuking - the other factions may occupy there territory/bases a la Post WW2 Germany or Japan. What does everyone think of that?

Er. It totally renders useless the vote to repeal the Charter, that's what I think. I don't even /do/ atrocities (well, once...) and I think it's game-changing in a bad way.
Eris (If you want sanctions, convince people to not repeal the charter...)

i dont know...i still like the idea. Think of it, someones nuking your bases and then you reinstate the charter and slam him...oh well...my personal opinion though

Hail Eris!
I agree with Eris. That would defeat the ability to repel the UN Charter. If you want to get even, Nuke them back! Don't go whining about it.
