Let's say you got lots of $$$$ and 2 hours to use for SMAC - The movie. Just wandering if you would have any ideas for the plot. Is it possible to capture the essence of SMAC in two hours like the Wing Commander?

Or how about tastes! If the factions had TASTE then what woul it be? ...this is just to weird...too much SMAC.

Taste? With my crazy mixed-up senses, I can hardly resist this. Perhaps you think I have no taste?
Gaians: green leafy tasteless, but with tons of texture. (Gorse and thistle - yum!)
Morgan: sickly sweet; too rich for most palettes.
Spartans: salty (first to sea, hard-bitten, and like to rub it in).
Peacekeepers: sweet chilli. (Seem good-natured, but sometimes inclined to bite.)
University: metallic. (You did remember to unwrap that first?) Also tend to sniff aromatic hydrocarbons: ee-eww! (That's an odour, but it leaves that permanent sickly taste in the pit of the stomach.)
Believers: sour (just look at Miriam's expression).
Hive: bitter. (You all MUST take your medicine, now!)

Incidentally, I missed the movie discussion, but I think a SMAC movie should fit the hints in the game's various text notes. For example, "The Fall of Sparta" suggests that Deirdre conquers the Spartans using mindworms.
The Voice of Planet indicates that Zakharov is there at the end, I guess without achieving a conquest victory, so perhaps the movie should end with a race to Transcendence, followed by the Hybrid Planet-Human Mind looking to the distant Stars.
