I know you sometimes read these threads on a saturday, so I'll just whisper gently in your ear. Please check the FIRAXIS forums and tell me I'm imagining things.Privates Sergeants et al Everyone knows that ONE of the other names for privates is WeeWees, so I guess that sergeants are just bigger WeeWees, et cetera, et cetera;.....Ehhhhh... Tim. I can only assume (rightly or wrongly) that Tim, being young, was conned by the infantile minds....???.... to whom postings, if one child saying hello to another child is a post, mean everything. I think we can all name them. Possibly you can correct this minor indiscretion before it gets out of hand and becomes a De Facto pecking order. There should be NO vets or newbies PS ....Tim....Like the treehouse. Not rapt in the colours for serious reading, (serious reading ??..... never happen... ). Will be much better when the children go to bed.

Perhaps you should mention this to Stephen Lee who seems to be working on the forums in The Site forum on the Firaxis site. Under the "Comments about this message board" thread.I thought it was alright myself, quite funny really. Stephen did give himself the title Supreme commander. |

Go to the site forum and read the thread about the renaming, you'll know that us posters are either privates or sergeants, and everything above that is moderator, administrator. |

EDIT...EDIT...EDITIn my quest to gently pose this thought I Thoughtlessly transposed two identities. Please mentally (if possible) replace Tim with Stephen. Picker Another name for privates (far more crude) is the diminutive of Richard. When this comes to a head it appears that too many people were playing with their privates. |

Hmmmmm... Private is the rank of an enlisted man in the army. |

MikeH IIOr should I say Sargeant sir. You appear to have made a very mild comment in the same vein. Surely you do not wish to see the same sort of trouble your other "I" club member created in this forum with this childishness. I have read most of the posts, and as I said (serious reading.....never happen) |

No. I do agree with you.It may be my I-club but he's not my member! (pun intentional) Anyone can be a member of the I club, that's the point of it and I did argue against him in those threads. |

Chagarra, what in the hell does Jeff or Stephen have to do with this? How can they correct it anyhow? They can't really. What are they going to do? Post a message saying for us to play nice? I'm mean what the ****. Chagarra, there hasn't been any problems now for about a week with the newbies vs. vets nonsense. So what the hell are you complaining about? Nobody has flamed you, I think. What makes you say this stupid bull****?Trippin Daily -chagarra, all that 'I' club stuff is just a joke- |

TRIPPObviously you are right off your meds Obviously you didn't read the thread Obviously you haven't looked in at CIV3 SO SIT DOWN AND BLOCK OFF THAT DRIBBLE OF FLAME You mav, or may not, have noticed that on the ----- FIRAXIS----- forums, not on these EA SMAC forums. Stephen, presumably as webmaster, has, very recently decided to give posters ratings. I think his term was to make them more "Gettysburgesque". I was simply pointing out to Jeff that a gentle word to discard that idea may prevent the problems we had here from presumed ratings, whether military or (your term) bull****, from becoming de facto standards on the "Official CIV3 forum" which we will all probably use. You may now stand up and let the JATO pak function |

Well chagarra, what does the 'I' club have to do with this anyhow? If it is all about the Civ 3 forums, then why bitch about it here, to people who don't give a rat's ass? Bitch over there where someone cares. And if stephen wants to do some stupid **** like that, then bitch about it over there. Anyhow, having those there isn't going to cause any trouble between vets and newbies. If someone is stupid enough to go by how many post someone has posted, then that person is a moron, and everbody will see that and come to ignore him. So whatever this bull**** is about you not having the rank of major dickhead (or did you get that one?), just drop it and go bitch where people care. Trippin Daily -The game SMAC is not Civ 3, remember that chagarra- |

Gee Trip, what's up? We need to find you a WORTHY target. It looks like the Firaxis Forum software is near to the same version as on Apolyton. That seems to automatically tag in "Junior, Member, Senior, yadda yadda yadda" under your name. Based entirely on number of post. Stephen just changed it to use different text. It can be offensive... -Darkstar |

DarkstarPlease don't wake him up. Just check that the rug is tucked warmly round the knees and a calming medicinal cig is nearby and the rocking chair dosn't creak. We should feel sorry for him....The failing eyesight that can't read posts....The palsied hand that can't mouse to see another forum...The lack of care...The pathetic dribble of flame down the inside leg. Maybe he just needs a rest. After all, those sometimes brilliant and funny flames may have taken too much out of him. We may have asked too much of our hero, defending our forum. Only time will tell. PS The reason I posted here is to avoid the fate of OldWarrior... Private 1st class
WeeWees anyone (sorry OW ) |

Well, they have a Civ3 forum ( makes that official automatically, doesn't it? )over there, so its going to GREATLY tick off the builders. Maybe "explorer, llama handler, governor, thread master extraordinare, and SysOp" would be better... -Darkstar |
