Jeff, FIRAXIS, is right when he claims that no game will ever be made perfect enough to please the online communities. And no such thing as bug free or code exists with todays games. As a matter of fact there was plenty of buggy arcade games all through the 80's.

Actually, I thing our goal as programmers is not to design a nice application/game that works, it's to create the coolest bug ever ! It's an ongoing challenge, and I thing Firaxis is with the top 3 with the infinite missile range one (unfortunately, rumor has it that some evil person found it and killed it) Aredhran

A program can be made to have 0 bugs. Its just not economical to do so.But if you don't DEMAND perfection, they will continue at the minimal level of quality that they think they can get away with. It's simple economics against customer expectations. -Darkstar |

O Amphibious one, I wouldn't know about Daggerfall, I never played it. But I'm sure the infinite missile range is certainly worthy of the Guinness Book for being the bug that takes longest to fix... Hell it's been in the game since Civ2 ! Aredhran
