A long time ago a relative of mine saw visions of war. I have too. I have too... And I'm afraid... In the day of July 12, flames of war will erupt in the bloodiest battle ever seen... I have seen forumers die off in the hands of Vets. I have seen the game forum crash the off topic forum shake from newbie attacks... I have seen the newbie camps at SMAConia being rebuilt. Microwave owens where newbies are baked into pizz... I can't go on. I have seen visions so horrible they will never be erased from my mind. I know that. And I know now the dark ages will come again... What will trigger the event is unclear, and that is where I need your help. I know many of my disciples post here. My best guess sofar is a thread called "Back off Snictor Bralis! We know your real name!!! You're not fooling us!", but I am afraid this answer could be totally wrong... You may wonder why I choose this time to reveal my identity. It has not been easy. My long past relative was scorned for what he knew. I don't wish to be scorned too. So help me. Please... |

He was a 16th(?) century prophet who made sooooo many (amazingly cryptic and imprecise) predictions that, every so often, one of them turns out to be slightly true. Freddz Your crystal ball/s must be like gout... Even now there are more wankers on CIV3 than on most forums. Each crowing to get their voice heard, like a yard full of roosters pecking at corn and trying to sort out a pecking order....Vets and Newbies, there is even a transcendii (is that one i or two) Isn't it nice that we don't have that sort of problem here |

Having had a minor dispute or two on Non-Topic, and seen someone who had registered before me back down as I had a higher post count and was "therefore" the Vet and he the Newbie, I think such a thing is funny. Newbies are effectively anyone younger than you in time registered here. Vets are everyone who registered before you. The closest thing we have to proof of SMAC interest, I guess. Post count is just a measure of how much you share with the boards. And Nell, did you go to the mountain with them? You said they came back shamefaced, but implied you believed as well... How do people get those red and blue smiley faces? Freddz, please share more of your great visions with us. Inquiring minds want to know! -Darkstar |

Darkstar: Well... in 1984 I was only 15, and so yeah, I was in a bit of a mystical phase where I thought that perhaps old Nostro might have a point... but no, I didn't go so far as to live in a tent on Mount Snowdon for several days, so I avoided getting wet and cold while also finding out that Nostradamus was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard! Oh and as for "how many men"... it's more than none, but less than many, although the precise number will, of course, remain highly classified information... Jimmy... you're in with a chance, always assuming that you're (a) Ewan McGregor (the real one, mind you, no Hallowe'en masks allowed), and (b) actually capable of all that Jedi mind trick stuff. NELL Honest injun,,, I retired a few years ago, or to use an australian euphenism, I was retrenched. I was in the middle of a directors power play, didn't like, and said so. Employment being what it is I had a few contract positions desiging PCB's but that became too boring, so yup.. A geriatric SMACer. Michael: The cheque, or rather the JPG, is in the mail... don't say I didn't warn you! Nell... who actually was sad (and bored) enough to edit the univ.pcx file and replace Zak's mugshot with one of the divine Ewan... but then decided that was SO sad that it had to be restored back to the original! hehe |
