Why do you hate the gaians. They are an excellent faction to be allied with since they are usually the most loyal to you. They are a simple yet lethal faction to play. And mind worms rock i dont know what you think but bout 5 mind worms attacking your capital within 15 turns of you starting the game is a little bit powerful. What is your problem did mind worms come into your bedroom and scare you during the night.

Ignore whirlwind13, Chronomog. He's just trolling. He started ragging on my Believers and I had to smack him around.Gaians are OK. |

I eat mindworms for breakfast - my conventional forces obliterate mindworms and laugh, but I like the Gaians as an ally and they are also a fun faction to play. Plus Dierdre's the hottest babe on Planet by far. |

I don't know MtG, I bet if we had as good a picture of those blond lady workers (and maybe those brunette talents) that Deidre wouldn't be the hottest babe on Planet. And I always wondered what those lady drones had peirced and tattoed? But I know where Whirlwind13 is coming from. The Green D can be a total Psycho-hose beast. It just depends on what you play, how you play, and luck... -Darkstar |

I don't like her. She's always nasty to me. Never found her the most threatening, though! |

Another thing, Chronomog. I haven't seen near the hate given to the Gaians as to the Believers. Hell, even that godless commie Yang gets better press. There are some sick people here. |

Chronomog...I hate the Gaians cause the Gaians hate me. Constently bothering me, trying to push me around when i could be hitting there Synth. Garrisons with shard jets. Incessantly whining about my wonton polluting. As for The Believers, they just suck. They are just pathetic. Ooooo my laser does 25% more damage....too bad by that time I got Missiles! The city names make me wanna hurl. "he walked on water" Please, spare me. " feel the wrath of god" oh shut up you ugly bible-humping peice of trash! And Holy Warrior is downing me cause he plays as a faction that isnt good enough to lick the fungus off a UoP solar collector. The ArchChancellor |

I'm UoP through and through but you can't really say anything bad about a leader that looks like that and wanders around naked. I just have one comment.... BARBARELLA!Delgath. -Where do you want to go today? Deirdre Skye, My Fling with a Fungus, Chapter 2, Sexual Postions Favoured by Planet. |

If you use free market (as some people do) she is a natural enemy. At any given moment, not using free market you are loosing money (and research points). |

Ok I do not LOSE money on Green Economics Dont get me wrong I HATE freemarket because as soon as i go free-market the planet gets Incredibly angry with me (perhaps because i've gotten cities above 60. So I get more than enough mind worms than i can handle. Most of the time i just find a huge cluster of them and capture the entire gang and get thousands of them. But then again stick with your strategy. I stick with mine and i never have a problem. But you can stick with your strategy get the gaians pissed off who are usually incredibly powerful. Or you can be like be and annihilate the pitiful Morganites. Oh well. And by the way a great deal of people use free-market and a large percent of any game users are newbies. |

Chronomog, Go to a save of yours. Change your market to free. See how many minerals you are allowed to use before pollution. Then change it to Green. Check again. What you will see is that you are not allowed more minerals with Green. The only difference is the amount of damage being done if you pollut. Therefore if you try to have an Eco damage of zero you have no problem using free market. Maybe you knew that already, maybe not. Anyway, in my opinion it's not necessary to have a super production in your cities, you can always buy something if you need it. Having +1 energy per square is more important than having cities a little more productive. Also if you compare what you earn with free and with green you will see that you are actually loosing money and research by not using free. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, for instance when you need to manipulate a strong neighbour, but the in general free market is better. |

Free market also has the additional issue with -3 Planet, which effectively gives you -30% in psi combat. That can be a killer, especially on Transcend with Abundant aliens.Depending on the status of your anti-MW preparations, you might want to check twice before switching to FM... Aredhran

Generally I play UoP, and go green fairly early, so the Gaians don't bug me too much. But in my latest game, the witch has been totally irrational. First she makes nicey nice, and we have a treaty. Then she gets Empath Guild, and wants to be Governor. I have no shot, and it's between her and Lal, who seems to hate me (could it be because I took 4 out of 5 of the early SP's? this seems to piss everyone off). Three turns later, miss thang dials me up and asks if I want to spend 50 credits on her map of Believing territory. Believers are my friends, and I prefer the cash, so I say no. Witchy woman prompty declares vendetta when I refuse, with not even any more dialog. WTF???? I'm number three, no threat to her dominant position, but go figure. Only thing I can think is that either she is jealous of my secret project prowess, or she feels I am weak enough to bully. But why not ask for tech? I mean, why ask me to buy a map then nail me? Sheesh! So currently, I hate the Gaians. I'm cranking up to kick their butts with my advanced weaponry, but I really would rather not have to, because Lal has it in for me also. Sometimes you can't make any friends. - icosahedron
