first off....has anyone ever seen in The Simpsons where they have family shock therapy...SMAC needs that. When an AI becomes stupid\annoying\out-of-charecter, there needs to be a nerve-staple button where when Miram is demanding something when you have more value in one city than she has in her own empire, you can press it and she says..."Im sorry for that, i have to pray now" end of transmission. And when Miss Deidre (I WANT TO RIP HER FACE!) decides to bust the planet in the name of the planet, you can press the button and she immediately spends the cash to raise the sea level back up to land and rebuild your city...and when Chairman Wang decides he wants to be a jerk and build water cities up your ass, you can hit the button and watch him appologize and begin respecting your borders...but this is all just wishful thinking. Hey, think about it, while we're on the subject of rants and AI: Idi Amin?!?!?!? Saddam Hussein?!?!?!?! Remember the Ayatollah Khomeini and Death to America day? How 'bout Khadaffi? Che Guevara's "revolution" in Bolivia?!?!?! what a hoot that was Mussof*ckinlini of all people wanting to use the ITALIAN Army to restore Italy to the heyday of the Roman Empire?!?!?!? ROTFLMAO Real world leaders are unpredictable, irrational nutbags and frootloops, so why is it surprising that the AI leaders are? I love the description of Miriam - I think the constipated artwork is great - I mean if she looked like Jewel or Cindy Crawford, that'd take all the fun out of life. I think Deirdre's a babe, but look at Earth First! for environmental nutbags - so Deirdre has to destroy planet to save planet - ain't that what the U.S. Army said about the city of Ben Tre in the Tet Offensive in 'Nam. Chairman Wang is a hoot too, but there's a simple way to get people to respect your borders - "when in doubt, wipe 'em out" |
