posted 05-26-99 11:00 PM ET Nobody else has noticed this? I've never seen AI players form pacts with eachother.. That sucks, I can have a few allies and take over the world and yet the AI never become pact brother/sister with other AI players.
This should be fixed.

I've had the AI Pact with each other. It usually doesn't last though. Would making the Opponents More Aggressive work?

I have seen several instances where the AI will team up against me ("Believers and Hive form pact against Morganites"), but I've never really noticed if they have formed a formal pact.

I believe that they do. Every once in a while I'll get the message that "Xxxxx and Yyyyy have agreed to join forces against us!" flash by on the screen.
You can check by looking at the Faction Profiles accessible by right clicking on a faction in the Commlinks menu.

I have seen them make pacts regularly, especially later in the game when the Human is taking off. It becomes very amusing when my pact brother/sister also has a pact with an enemy faction -- you have your units and enemy units camped out inside a "neutral" base

I have to go wit EarWicker on this one. They regularly make pacts with each other. They also team up with one another against you. They team up with each other against other AIs. They regularly make war with one another.
Play some more. And spy on them more often. You will see.
