What I've always loved about the Civilization Series was the Map Editor. Making great continents specifically designed for colonization and warfare is a lot of fun. Does anyone know if there are any plans on an addition like this? I know that you can do stuff like this with the scenario editor, but this is another thing I don't like. I have absolutely NO idea on how to do anything in the scenario editor. If you're going to reply, please respond to [email protected] also, as I do not often come to this board.

I'm planning to ATTEMPT to develop a map editor, but I havn't had a chance to sit down an reverse engineer the .mp files yet. I tried asking on a couple differnt forums if anyone had any ideas, or at least suggestions about who to bug (newsgroups maybe) but never got any responces.

Well, it would be great if you managed to build one. I have no suggestions, but I also loved the map editor of Civ 2. I liked building the perfect continents, etc. I attempted to build a map using the scenario editor, and it just wasn't very intuitive or easy to use in my opinion.
