It's such a shame that it's 9:30 am and that I'll have to wait until tonight to try it

I hope you guys at Firaxis will keep this up, giving us a scenario like this, or maybe new maps, every now and then. On the other hand, maybe I should play it before praising you ?

Thanks,
Aredhran

PS: Now what about Pat-err... Enhancement 4 ?

Well, played this baby last night with the Believers on Thinker level. Aced it, *all* bases conquered by 2146.

I completed the initial productions, then built Command Center in all bases, and started cranking out the Impact rovers (no armor = lower cost, some with chemical weapons, hehe).

The Gaians had 1 initial MW attack on my scout rover, then a second pack of 3, then *nothing*. The spartans did a little better with 4 impact rovers attacking simultaneously, but their stoopid general stopped them next to my base instead of 1 square away, so I wiped their arses with my 1-1-1 green scout

After that, I did an initial rush on the Gaians, conquered Song of Planet without much resistance... Their defense was 1 MW, 1 plasma sentinel and 1 arty - not much against my 2 X impact rovers and 2 Impact rovers, all veteran (thank you Mr. Monolith).

From that point on, it was easy since all the enemy cities were connected by a nice and very convenient highway . My two task forces (Gaian and Spartan), met near Sparta Command in 2145, and Corazon's HQ fell the following year.

Note that Podlotto played an important part in this game, as I received 2 alien artifacts, 1 very well situated monolith, some special resources, 2 production completes, 2 unity rovers and 200 energy credits total.

Maybe I should have tried on Transcend...

I think it's realy great they are producing senerios, I'd like to see more.
However, my review of this senerio isn't quite glowing. I've been playing it as the spartants, so all of this comes from thier perspective:
First time I played it I got smeared. The believers have a significant advantage in energy and produection with that city on the measa. If you give them time to build up it becomes VERY difficult to knock out that city, especialy since artillery has to be placed below it.
The second tiem I tried it I rolled over the believers in no time flat. If you don't give them time to develop they don't stand a chance.
The spartans start out with a rather nasty handycap- thier economy. You start with a significant negative income, which forced me to stop and build up solar collecters and such to halt my energy drop. They also have a huge unhappyness problem that I can't quite account for, so if your reserves drop too low you loose some nice happyness improvements and you get crippled.
Speed seems to be a big issue,.. it's not that long of senerio and realy the first person to get a real attack going is probably gonig to win. Personaly I don't like playign that way, I perfer much more drawn out conflicts with a heavy focus on infrastructure development, i.e. defenses are higher then your ability to attack. This senerio had no real research and no colony pods, but you do have terriforming at least.
Also, I don't know if it was a bug or not, but the first time I played the believers were building equipment with fusion reactors, making them that much more difficult to deal with. But the second time I kept hitting them with probe teams to steal tech, and it never came up. Any idea here?
