Damn, this is REALLY annoying!!! I don't have net-connection at home, so I have to save all the stuff I download from the net to floppies... Well, I have downloaded the latest patch, and I just keep on having all kinds of problems when I try to split it in to smaller pieces!!! I won't get in to any details...Would it be REALLY that difficult to split the patch in to 1.4 meg pieces!?!?! Those who don't have personal net-connection, could download those 1.4meg pieces, and those that do have personal net-connection could download the one big file...

I can't comment on the Finnish press Serenity, but in the UK the SMAC patches are on the cover cds of PC Format and PC gamer... |

Krifos99:Does Winzip support multiple volumes?? I think arj does, but zip doesn't... I could use arj... As of now, I have just tried all kinds of file-splitters... Umbra1: In Finland, game magazines don't really use cover-disks... And I think it's a good thing!! I have seen SEVERAL times some UK magazines with cover CD's, and the magazine itself really sucks... They just pay attention to the CD, and not to the magazine... And those CD's drive up the price of the magazine... If only you could read the stuff the people making the finnish game magazines (Like Pelit Magazine) say about UK game magazines... NOT nice stuff... And I have read some of those magazine the comment about, and I agree with them... |

Serenity: Agreed ! The UK has some good business orientated press, but the games magazine are pretty awful... And no TV coverage of games at all. Weird, considering that the computer games industry is now bigger than the motion picture industry ! This is a subject for another thread though... |

Download Winzip 7.X, that may use multiple volumes. I think, the site has been www.winzip.com. Up to the Sky! The Builder

Just a confirmation that WINZIP version 7 supports building zips across multiple floppies.-Darkstar |
