How about creating a faction history file for users. In this file, it would contain your behavior patterns (build, expanded, discover,...), number of times you have used PB's, average loyalty/integrety rating,... This way, you could incorporate a users playing preferences into the game and have the other cpu factions use past data on the user to determine their stradegies. This could be disabled by an entry in the ini file of course. Also, it would be nice if you could pick your factions color as well. (ie say I want black for my UOP or light blue for the Believers...) I would also like the ability to set the number of factions I want to play against during a custom game too.

Ya - and I want the spartans not to be black, or for the water to be blue.... |

What would be even cooler would be to make the history file available for multiplayer. The only problem is that that it eliminates the important skill in MP when you don't know the opponent's tactics. The problem with making the factions different colors is it's hard to tell who's who. It would be confusing if the Believers all of a sudden were green, for instance. If you want that option, you can always turn on randomized faction agendas in the pre-game menu. Faction History for PZakharov (me): Expand, discover, conquer Reputation: Atrocious PB's: Too many Polar caps melted: At least 5 Sanctions: Roughly 3,000 years Average difficulty level used: Librarian/Thinker |

To change the color of a Faction for a particular game, load that faction into that color slot. If you want Spartans to be Green, click on top slot, select load Faction, and type in name Spartan (I think is the file name). This loads Spartans into that slot. I think you can play with multiple copies of a faction, so long as its AI controlled. Mutlipler freaks out.It would be NICE if the Load Faction guy offered a directory listing like Load and Save Game does. -Darkstar |

Almost forgot to mention... when you reload that game in a different session, while the FACTIONS will still be correct, their GRAPHICS for cities won't. You have to start a new game, preloading the factions as the WERE, and then load your custom colored factions to correct the graphics.-Darkstar |

A much simpler way to change faction colours is to edit the alpha file, just swap the positions of factions in the list |
