I'm playing Trancend Ironman with the University and launched a surprise attack against the spartans. I captured 10 of their cities and was doing very good. Then they came with 2 probe teams and recaptured ALL of the cities. They only had 70 credits. When I tried capturing cities with probe teams it cost me 10,000+ credits! Whats wrong? Are there any patches that will fix this?

i think it was because once a spartan always a spartan and since they were once it wouldnt cost much to become one again
