Yes, it's true, Sid Meier confirmed at E3 that he will be producing Civ3. How so, you ask. Well... "Of course, there is the pesky problem that the Civilization license is still held by Hasbro, owner of Microprose. Easily sidestepping this hurdle, Firaxis and Hasbro hve announced a partnership to produce the game. Yahoo! Although few details about the game are currently available, it�s Sid Meier making Civ III. Does anything else matter?" (that's an article from NGO) Not bad, huh? I was expecting that Meier wouldn't be too eager to give up on old Civ. But think of it - maybe there could be a tie-in with Civ3 and Alpha Centauri? Now *that* would be interesting. |
