![]() ![]() ![]() Hey gang! I would like to Edit/Make my own mapa in the near future. I have learned how to turn the Map Editor on, and the template shows up on the center information screen. Unfortunately, I can't make any changes with it. As a point of information, I am using a laptop, and the only key I don't have is a "SCROLL LOCK" key. NO biggy, from what I was reading in the book. (pg 207?) Can you guys give a "tutorial" that I can work from?? I'd sure appreciate some help on this one! You can e-mail me direct at; [email protected] Thanks in advance! Mike W. - |

![]() ![]() ![]() First, I would like to say that the Scenario Editor is quite clunky and a pain in the b*tt. Make sure that the Scenario Editor is activated, and the map editor is on. If you are using the menus these are two differant menus! (silly design feature) Then from the map editor you should have a choice for raise or lower terrain. If you click on one of those then a graphic menu should appear in the menu box. This will give you the many terrain modification choices that you can make. You can only place a city by first placing a colony pod and then playing a turn, with the map editor off, and building with the colony pod. (another silly design feature). I hope this answers some basic questions. If you have some other specific ones please let me know and I will help if I can. Goob |

![]() ![]() ![]() Shift+Ctrl+Left Click will get you into "paint" mode. This is useful for outlining terrain. Oh, and press Ctrl+K twice to get a nice GUI. |
